Over the last thirty years Morelato has effected quite some research. Often the research effected regarded the development of modern design directly or indirectly in relation to classical furniture.
A worthwhile operation also because of a great number of prototypes exhibited at the many exhibitions and which has placed many of the pieces produced in the area of Italian classical furniture into an updated and correct cultural place.
From the first projects which regard the quotations referring to the “Novecento” (with the historical period between the twenties and forties) to the more evolved pieces which were inspired by the furniture designed by Ponti or to the Quotations of the Series “Evoca” by Ugo La Pietra (with clear references to the period around the 1940’s) until the more recent experimentations of designers such as Franco Raggi, Paolo Rizzato, Franco Poli, Umberto Riva, Luca Scacchetti, Elio Di Franco, Gianmaria Colognese, Stefano Follesa.
