This part of the museum in fact collects the most significant examples of research, in which the relation between the project and the material have given their very best results. Here the company and the museum twine and draw on each other’s project resources.
Pieces of furniture designed by Ugo la Pietra, Marco Ferreri, Michele De Lucchi, Umberto Riva – just to name some – inhabit the museumlaboratory. The ideas of famous designers next to other less famous designers, of different backgrounds, styles and tastes- all meeting here and sharing the experience of artisan enterprise, with its recursive and explorative modalities.
All give an interpretation of the virtues and restrictions, potentiality and limits of one material: wood.
