Morelato, Veronese leading company in the furniture industry, always attentive to the promotion of local workmanship and 100% made in Italy, joins the prestigious initiative of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte: "Doppia Firma. Dialogues between design thinking and high craftsmanship". This project promoted by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship and developed with the Living, design, interiors and lifestyle magazine by Corriere della Sera has the aim of creating a unique collection (consisting of 13 pieces) of original objects, the result of a creative exchange between a designer and a craftsman, or a company with a craftsman's heart.

The edition, addressed to international designers and art masters of the Veneto region, involves the Morelato Company in the construction of the piece Cabinet 82 designed by the Lebanese designers David & Nicolas.

For the Cabinet 82 project, artisanal techniques and new technologies are merged and a combination of mahogany, oak and ash wood, creates an evocative sequence of geometry and chiaroscuro. The piece is inspired by the Lebanese culture of David & Nicolas, presenting itself as a versatile object, capable of transforming itself into a bookcase, cabinet, bar cabinet according to the requirements. A project that matches past and present, antique cabinet-making and innovative design.

Cabinet 82 will be exhibited in the halls of Villa Mozart, home of the high jewelery Giampiero Bodino, open to the public during the days of the Salone del Mobile, from 17 to 22 April at 9.00 - 19.00.
